This project was created a 1st grade learning environment. The project was to teach them how to paint with warm colors, cool colors and how to fix paint. They based off the picture of a famous artist  Kandinsky an Russian painter. For this project we had to create 4 fall leaves and paint them different colors to make sure we didn't use all the same type of colors in each square. Each square needed a warm and cool color but a few of our colors needed to be mixed. An extension activity i would have them do is based of Andy Warhol and have them draw and paint the same object in four different ways.

This project was based off the book "The Dot" by Peter Renolds this book explained how one person art can be master piece and anything can be art with encouragement. We created a bunch of dot projects with paper and coffee filter. An extension activity could be letting them use splatter paint and create any type of art work based of what they see in their splatter paint by adding lines to connect them or color in.

For this art project you could use it in a 3rd of 5th grade art class. The students would learn about Vincent van Gogh and would create their own piece based off his painting Starry night. The students would put facts based off what they learn and have to include colors, silhouettes and swirls. An extension activity you could do with this is have the students create a story about their painting and based off one his paintings. This would give life to his art and their own in a unique way.

This project was created for a fourth grade art classroom. Children would learn how to create a project  based off Printmaking. The children would create a landscape with pencil and then trace it on to a Styrofoam paper with a pen and then go over the indents made on the Styrofoam with a pen. After you would cover it with the ink and the paint wouldn't go into the pen marks. Once its fully covered you would put it on your other white sheet and lay pressure with rolling instrument to make sure all the ink gets on the page. An extension activity you could do this is with calligraphy. You could have kids write their signature in cursive or another language and create a stamp they can sign at the end of their letters.

The weaving were on a 5 by 5 slate and would create a coaster. An extention activity you could have the children do is create an math equation based on the time and amount of yarn used to create on a bigger scale or multiple people doing the project.

Scratch Art

Image
This project was designed for a 2nd grader class where they would learn how to integrate a line art project with crayons. The students would trace their hand and design their mitten using different lines. They then would paint a certain type of paint onto cardboard and let dry. After this they would trace their mitten with the scratch stick and fix any lines to show more color.  An extension activity i would do for scratch art is to create patterns and shape instead of just lines to go with other culture lessons.
